What is Android navigation and how it works?

With this platform, manufacturers have a lot more customization, since they can offer an internet connection, choose which Android applications they put in their car, which voice commands work, etc.

With Android Automotive, it is the car itself that manages all the processes without connecting to an external device as we now do with our smartphone.

In this way, Google manages to really enter the automotive sector, since Android Auto will not be used, which in the end is an extension of our Android phone, but our cars will be the ones that have the Google operating system installed.

Currently, only a few Volvo, Chevrolet and Ford carry the Android Automotive OS, but as the decade progresses we will begin to see it in almost all the models for sale, since Android is open source and, therefore, not will be a real expense for manufacturers.

In addition to navigation, Android Auto also supports a range of entertainment and communication apps. You can listen to music and podcasts from services like Spotify, Pandora, and Google Play Music, and send and receive messages using apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Messenger.
